So you know, if they optimize until they can not, take into account the replacement of all queries possible for static HTML, your readers, and your hosting service, grateful.

Meet the Administration Panel

When your blog grows it's a good idea to invite other bloggers to participate in it. Not only is it an enriching experience but is part of the very essence of Web 2.0 .

And if you want to have complete control of the management of these users and their permissions you must know the management panel of them in your Dashboard.

In the initial list of users you will find the basic information, which you can edit of course.

When editing a user it is interesting to indicate two fundamental data . The email will serve to receive notifications from the system, such as new users, comments to the entries or new messages in your subscriptions. It is also important if you have assets avatars, because they show the image depending on the email address declared. Including your web or blog will make the name that appears in the comments that you include in the blog have an active link to your page, allowing the readers of the blog to know it better.

Last, but not least, you can select multiple users in the selection boxes and change their profile or even delete them from the system . Be careful with this last option because it would also erase your entries, although before it will ask you if you want to assign your articles to another user.

Matt Mullenweg interviewed in "La Nacion"

The newspaper La Nación has published a interview to Matt Mullenweg the creator of WordPress, Taking advantage of his visit to Argentina for the last edition of Wordpcamp, Ariel Torres, editor of that newspaper was the interviewer, who preferred to delve into the human aspect of Matt, something that many may not know.

The interview is unmissable both for people who follow WordPress closely, and for anyone who likes to know aspects of the life of a person who deals to improve yourself day by day without losing your values as a person on the road.

Some excellent quotes:

– What's so special about WordPress?

– I think there are three things. First, his philosophy, his vision; that the Web can be better than it is. That is a vision that attracts very smart people to the project. Second, it is easy to use and install. Before it was all very difficult, you had to edit text files and things like that to make these platforms work. Now it's all through assistants. And the third has to do with timing. At the time we appeared there were not many other options, but people were looking for them. In addition, WordPress proved to be a great name and our competitors made decisions that created an opportunity for us.

I ask you what worries you about the future. Among other things -some very technical ones, such as the legal gaps in the General Public License regarding software as a service- tells me: " I am worried about the direction the government of my country is taking, the erosion of civil liberties to security change ".

It would not be unusual for the report to one of the promoters of a new form of journalism conclude the reverse of how it should be. Not with an answer. Not with an auction But with a question. And not a question from the journalist, but from the interviewee. So be it.

After the interview, while we wait in a corridor to start the photo shoot, we talk about lost oxen. In a moment he can not with curiosity, and he is sincere with a doubt that, apparently, has been maturing for a long time: "Do all women wear high heels in Argentina?"

In this window you will see all the themes that you have uploaded to your directory wp-content / themes if you have WordPress hosted, or those of the standard installation if you use the free service of WordPress.com.

A then we have the section of Widgets which is the system that uses WordPress to add features to our blog without having to know programming . By default you will see a few but if you can install more you will see more possibilities.

A very powerful function is the fact of being able to include in text widgets code HTML so if you know basic commands of this programming language you can expand your possibilities. If not, you can always take advantage of the predefined widgets, in which you can easily configure them with a mouse click . You just have to click on this button to open the options of each widget.

With this function you avoid the need to access via FTP and use an external editor. From here you can touch up the necessary code and save the changes so they are instantly displayed on the blog.
